Vasyl Ivanovich Pasichnyk is a well-known and respected person not only in our city, our country, but also far beyond our state.

 Although he is a native of Volhynia, his fate as a physician is closely connected with Chernihiv, where he began working as a district pediatrician from 1968, and then worked as the head of the new-born department of the regional hospital. He never rushed to higher positions, but proved himself well in the headquarters, so they were translated into higher and responsible ones. The contribution of Vasily Ivanovich to the health of children in the city and the region and their social protection is hard to overestimate. The head pediatrician was engaged in children affected by the Chernobyl accident: due to his perseverance and principled position, 9,000 children of the region received the status of victims of the Chernobyl accident. In 1988 he received the title of Honored Doctor of Ukraine for his significant achievements in medicine. His vision of the future of Ukraine far outstrips the views of contemporaries. He became the founder of rehabilitation in the Chernihiv region, becoming an innovator in many of its areas.
The Center for the Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities "Revival", founded in 1996, was the first institution of this type in Ukraine. Only after 10 years his ideas began to be implemented throughout Ukraine, centers opened on the model introduced in by Revival.

Persistence, work ability, organization, ability to achieve the tasks, found on a position, brought their results. Today, thanks to the high professionalism of Vasyl Ivanovich and the team he has selected, we have the best rehabilitation center in Ukraine, whose activities are highly appreciated far beyond our borders. Vasyl Ivanovich is a Candidate of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Knight of the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise IV and V degrees, Holder of the Honorary Degree of "Doctor of Medical Sciences" from Anglia Raskin University, Great Britain.
In creating a perfect rehabilitation system for children with disabilities, he invests his life, worked for it and continues to work.
