Minibus delivered! March 16, 2018
Finally! On March 16, 2018, the bus that the American charitable organization LifeNets has promised to donate to the Revival Center for children with disabilities in Chernihiv.
Many thanks to everyone who led this project, which was three years in the process of creation, to a successful completion!
The bus was bought in Germany back in August last year. This is a 9-seat Ford Transit 2015 with 23,000 km (15,000 miles) running, so it's in a completely new state. It meets Euro 5 emission standards. The delivery was carried out by the English charitable organization Felsted Aid for Deprived Children, headed by Alan Hilliar and Pauline Craven from Great Dunmow, United Kingdom, located northeast of London. The cost of a van - $ 30,000 was paid by Life Nets with the participation of Rotary Club Batavia. The rehabilitation base of the Regional Center has been developing rapidly in recent years. Its capacity is steadily increasing, and 245 children with disabilities receive services simultaneously. As a rule, these children are brought up in socially insolvent, single-parent families, and in the absence of funds, they can not always get in due time for rehabilitation. So, the donated vehicle will be used in accordance with the provisions of the "Communal Institution" Regional Center for Complex Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities "Revival" of the Chernihiv Regional Council" for the purpose of delivering children for rehabilitation and back home. In addition, in the Regional Center there is a social patronage service that serves 54 seriously ill children with disabilities. And this vehicle will deliver a brigade of specialists to provide rehabilitation services for these children at home.
Thanks to everyone who helped to do this.
