Hello, School!
At the end of August, the Revival Centre is filled with a special atmosphere — we warmly welcome our children, the first-graders! For every child, the beginning of the school journey is a big event, full of excitement, joy, hopes, and discoveries.
For children with health challenges, it is also an important step in overcoming barriers and strengthening their belief in themselves and their abilities.
The First-Grader’s Celebration has become a symbol of starting a new stage in life, where a child feels the support not only of their family but also of the entire team of the Centre. During the festive event, all the children performed vocal pieces, while the first-graders, in a playful way, gathered school supplies into their backpacks and had fun together with a fairytale character.
The celebration took place in an atmosphere of sincerity, warmth, and care. Everyone present — children, parents, the Centre’s specialists, and guests — came together to show that every child has the right to study, dream, and achieve success! For some, this was just the first school bell, but for us — it was the first step along the thorny path of daily hard work towards the future.
“Every child deserves a celebration!” With these words, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council Dmytro Blausz addressed the children who will be going to school for the first time this year. He highlighted the professionalism and dedication of the Centre’s team and thanked the parents, who put in great effort so that the children could demonstrate their creativity at the celebration and become more self-reliant in society. To make learning a joy, Dmytro Blausz presented the children with backpacks designed to carry school supplies comfortably and safely, supporting the health of a child’s back with orthopedic elements and with well-organized space inside for convenient arrangement of belongings.
Among the guests at the celebration was 16-year-old Artem, who, despite his young age, is already engaged in charity work and wanted to congratulate the first-graders with school supplies purchased at his own expense. Artem’s words of greeting were filled with sincerity and warmth toward the children, respect for the parents, and admiration for the work of the Centre’s staff.
At the end of the celebration, the children traditionally received gifts from friends and benefactors in the United Kingdom, who always care about them. The gifts were organized and delivered by the NGO Revival.
We sincerely believe that for each of our first-graders, learning will become joyful and achievable, and school will be a place of growth, friendship, and achievements.
