Vyshyvanka unites Ukrainians
Vyshyvanka occupies a special place in the culture of Ukraine.
It has long been believed that a shirt embroidered with colored threads and decorated with patterns brought success and served as a talisman for the hostess or owner. This national dress is worn by men, women and children. Nowadays, the vyshyvanka has gone out of the everyday form of clothing, but it is worn on holidays or significant dates. It is customary to celebrate Vyshyvanka Day on the third Thursday of May.
In the times of extremely difficult challenges for our country, the embroidered shirt became a symbol of indomitability and strength of spirit of our people.
We preserve traditions, rejoice in the smiles and achievements of our students, and thank “ZSU”(Armed Forces of Ukraine) for every peaceful day!
Glory to Ukraine!
