Since 2006, Ukraine and the world celebrate Vyshyvanka Day on the third Thursday of May.

This year, the celebration holds special emotional significance, as it coincides with the International Day of Families.

At the Chernihiv Regional Centre "Revival", the community joined in honoring the best traditions of both Vyshyvanka Day and Family Day.

Dressed in festive and colorful embroidered shirts, children, staff, and parents marked the occasion with joyful games, Ukrainian songs, dances, and shared photos.

The vyshyvanka is a symbol of health and beauty, good fortune and family memory, love and loyalty. An embroidered Ukrainian shirt is not just clothing — it is a true talisman!

By wearing our festive garments on this day, together with children and their families, we affirm our pride in wearing the vyshyvanka and in being Ukrainian.
