The Center held events dedicated to the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
December 3 is a special date for the staff of the Center. Every year on this day we support the world community and participate in the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The purpose for which this day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1992 is the observance of human rights and the participation of people with disabilities in society.
Children with disabilities, despite certain limitations associated with the disease, like everyone else strive to be happy, successful, lead a full life. And it is good when there are those who support and believe in them. On this special day, the Deputy Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Zhanna Sherstyuk and the Director of the Department of Social Protection of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Valentyna Luhova visited the Center to draw attention to the problems of children with disabilities, protection of their dignity, rights and well-being. Distinguished guests got acquainted with the work of our institution and joined the events held today at the Center.
An exhibition of children's creative works “Opportunities are limited. Abilities are limitless "and the photo exhibition" My Family ". The children's works impressed with their original and masterful execution, proving once again that there are no limits to true talent, and diligence and perseverance can work real miracles. The concert and entertainment program for children was held in the music hall and began with a joint viewing of the multimedia presentation "They defeated fate", which demonstrates the high achievements of talented students of the Center. Impressive success stories have become a motivating factor for everyone present. After all, despite the daily problems, people with disabilities work, create, win. These are courageous people who know for sure that in order to reach the top, you need first of all great desire and faith!
The event continued with a fabulous entertainment program - "Alice is looking for friends." Meeting with bright fairy-tale characters captivated children, gave a rainbow of pleasant emotions and happy smiles. The kids enjoyed playing games, singing and dancing together. Zhanna Sherstyuk, Deputy Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, presented sweet presents to the children. Also, every child undergoing rehabilitation at the Center received a backpack from VIVAT TRADING as a gift on that day.
Assistance in removing barriers to self-realization and comprehensive support for children with disabilities and their families are priorities in the activities of our center, which has been providing assistance in the rehabilitation of children with disabilities for more than 25 years.
