On Friday, September 17, children, who are undergoing rehabilitation, their parents, staff of the Center joined the events dedicated to the European Heritage Days in Chernihiv.

This year, for the first time, our city became a participant in this pan-European initiative, launched by the Council of Europe in 1991. The aim of the project is to draw the attention of residents and guests of the city to the cultural heritage and its role in the development of modern society. The theme of the 2021 event is inclusion, or "Heritage: Involving Everyone". The representative of the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Chernihiv City Council, Candidate of Historical Sciences Oleksandr Bondar, presented an interesting presentation-story about ancient Chernihiv. Successfully selected illustrative material immersed the audience in a virtual tour of the historic sites of our glorious city. Information about the peculiarities of architecture and planning of the city, traditions of citizens, local color in combination with modernity have raised the level of awareness of the cultural heritage of Chernihiv not only for children but also for adults. At the end of the report, Mr. Oleksandr drew the attention of the audience to the historical and architectural value of the monuments, called on them to appreciate and preserve, to be conscious of history. We truly thank Mr. Oleksandr   for making such important information available to our children and for useful gifts. We hope for further fruitful cooperation!
