The Center celebrated the Harvest Festival
Love for nature is nourished by sincere curiosity. And how to ignite it in children? The best way - with the help of thematic entertainment, which can be woven and practical actions and facts, flavored with fun music. Then children in casual play acquire knowledge about nature, and this knowledge will be easy, accessible, and most importantly - necessary in life!
During the spring and summer, the children of the Department of Early and Social Rehabilitation grew fragrant herbs, crispy cucumbers, red peppers, and fragrant tomatoes in a mini-garden set up in the yard of the Center. Rehabilitation measures using the "garden therapy" method have been carried out since 2016. It was then, with the assistance of Anglia Ruskin University, that the project "A Blossoming Country - a Happy Child" was implemented on the basis of the Center, which provided the creation of flower beds for garden therapy. The project was initiated by Natalia Zenchenko, director of the Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities "Revival". So, since then, the Harvest Festival has become a tradition. Children together with parents and teachers gather to rejoice in the results of their work. This year's "Harvest Festival" took place on September 15. As always, the garden was childishly noisy and full of fun. The warm sun, colorful autumn flowers and cheerful holiday music contributed to the good mood. Young gardeners were happy to collect real, home-grown vegetables. Carefully were putting them into baskets. It is important that this event also performed an educational and cognitive mission. Children repeated the signs of autumn, consolidated knowledge about its gifts, learned to take care of the results of work, to nature, solved game problems, practiced intelligence. During the fun game, all the pumpkin relatives gathered in a heap, learned to "cook" borsch and compote, explored vegetables to the touch and aroma, participated in fun relay races. Everything was fun and cheerful, the children had great fun and many impressions. The educators of the groups organized interesting master classes for children and parents on making handicrafts from vegetables and fruits. The harvest festival traditionally ends with a delicious feast, demonstrating Ukrainian hospitality, generosity and sincerity.
