20 November – Children’s Protection Day in Ukraine
This year, Ukraine marks Children’s Protection Day on 20 November — the day the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted. It is the day when the world recognised that the rights of every child are a priority enshrined in international law. It reminds us that safety and care for children must be at the foundation of decisions and actions in every society.
The “Revival” Centre is a place where children with disabilities exercise their right to special support, the right to life and healthcare, the right to social protection, access to educational and rehabilitation services, an inclusive environment, and equal opportunities for development. They also have the right to rest and leisure.
A festive entertainment programme was organised for the children, bringing together the children, teachers, parents, and guests. The children enthusiastically sang and showcased their talents. Musical performances and dance activities help develop motor skills, communication, and emotional expression. The centre’s staff did their best to create an atmosphere of joy and support for the children.
A special thank-you goes to the young benefactor Artem and his wonderful family for treating the children to sweets. The generosity, kindness, and compassion of this family filled everyone’s hearts with joy and made the day full of bright emotions. For the children, these gifts are more than just treats — they are a feeling of care, attention, and love.
